Out now: Susan Blake – Promises

Hi y’all,

Susan’s great new song “Promises” is out now. It was arranged and produced by me earlier this year. Susan came up with her own life’s story and wrote a tune that came straight from her heart. Philipp Hochhauser produced and directed an amazing video and the result can be viewed above. We had a good time although the topic is a bit tough, and I hope it shows. Have fun!

All the best,
Alexander.

logic pro x – flex pitch

hi there!

one day recently i found out that logic pro x had been released – of course i downloaded it in an instant on the same day. here’s the first overview of logic pro x’s probably most spectacular new feature: flex pitch.

flex pitch may alleviate the need for celemony’s melodyne for some of us in some situations and at the same moment will save a considerable amount of time, because the procedure of feeding the audio to the plugin is unnecessary with flex pitch.

in my first tests the sound quality is close enough for me to melodnye to stick with flex pitch for the time being, at least with adjusting vocals. check out a first overview and example of how you can use it:

“subterra incognita” now viewable online @ oktothek

hi there!

a production i did in 2005, “subterra incognita“, a film about vienna’s underground, is now viewable online @ the oktothek. it’s been a long time since i did the documentary, but i was delighted to find the slightly shortened tv-version to be entertaining and almost flawless. franz robert wagner lent his characteristic voice to thomas lindermayer’s documentary and  contributes to an entertaining film full of viennese couriosities. check it out!

all the best,
Alexander.
