Birne, Schädel & Haupt: Eagle (Episode 6)

Hi there,

check out the new episode of “Birne, Schädel & Haupt”, the first German language animated web-series. This time an American visitor stops by at the eagle’s nest – and he causes quite a sensation in the 3-headed eagle’s daily life.

Illustrator Brian Main shines in the role of the eagle with a charming American accent, and  cabaret artist Regina Hofer adds a thrilling voice over to an action-laden news-story.

We hope you’ll have some fun watching it, just click right here:

Birne, Schädel & Haupt – the monthly short film by NÖT

Hi ya’ll,

Benjamin Swiczinsky and his company Neuer Österreichischer Trickfilm are now creating a brand-spankin’ new animated short film every month. It is featuring their heraldic bird with three heads, each of them representing one of the members of NÖT. The heraldic bird will experience many entertaining adventures, most of the somehow related to creating animated film.

Watch this space to get a chance to contribute to the creation of this amazing series in the near future. As commonly expected for shorts and films featured in this blog, music and sound were done by me 🙂

So check this out and have fun:

Incouts – Früher war alles anders

Hi y’all,

I recently did a product presentation film for the Austrian startup “Inscouts”. However, this one is a little bit different from what you would expect from a “product presentation”, it’s really a short film, and Manuel Gruber and the gang came up with a smooth story, a great cast, a terrific team and a cool concept for the music. We had a lot of fun, although it was quite a bit of work (which comes naturally when you start without a proper briefing). I recorded guitars, violin and some more stuff with my dad, and Manuel asked his brother and his brother’s friends to help out with the horns. But you may want to check it out yourself, here it is:

Between Bar – A short film by Pauline Flory

Hi y’all,

before the year is over I have to issue a blogpost for 2015 – I realize that nothing has been written yet. There have been two projects this year worth mentioning, one of them is a short film that I am about to finish:

Pauline Flory has made an amazing 5-minute short film called “Between Bar”, where her protagonist enters a bar an tries to become a part of this universe – in vain? There is some alcohol involved as well as a few interesting halluci… visions.

Music has been written and recorded and the sound design ist basically done, so I am in the process of finishing the mix for the film. See it soon (like…2016) at a film festival near you…!

All the best,
Alexander.

PS: Check out a really short, but really interesting making-of here.
